BBC Website Is A Great Place For Debt Advice.

The BBC website is unique and in my opinion, the most informative website on the Internet.  All content is professionally written and edited, especially so the extensive debt advice section.

What makes the BBC’s website like no other is that a huge amount of public money is spent on it, coming from UK TV licence payers. That money is put to excellent use as the BBC website has been in the top 10 busiest UK websites for years by virtue of the quality of self produced content, and of course, plugs from the BBC’s TV stations.

There a no adverts and no hidden agenda other than promoting other BBC programmes and services.

The borrowing and debt section has an enormous amount for accurate information. What is particularity interesting are the self told experiences of real debtors and the Financial Health Check Tool.

What the site is missing is some input from the debt resolution industry. Expert opinion is given from the charity based organisations, which is good. But these pseudo charities are financed by the credit industry and therefore are unable to offer a balanced opinion. They are not able to say the lenders are a key factor in the UK’s debt epidemic, as is the consensus expert and public opinion.  This would be to speak out against who is paying their wages.
